The Batho Batho Trust founded Thebe Investment Corporation Pty Ltd in 1992. The aim of the Batho Batho Trust is to utilize the income from any dividends declared by Thebe, its subsidiaries and association companies to support activities within South Africa that are deemed desirable at that time. Today it holds 74% of the issued shares in Thebe Investment Corporation and the remaining shares are equally held by Old Mutual, Sanlam and Investec.
